I am something of a professional student, I have studied everything from political science and psychology, to chemistry and microbiology. I love reading, writing, teaching, and above all, learning new things. I ended up focused on philosophy and ethics, tackling some of life's most elusive problems, before discovering software development where difficult problems not only have real solutions, but often a multitude of possible correct solutions! In my career I have cultivated a reputation as a reliable, dedicated, and indefatigable hard worker. I enjoy hard work, but I have found that Software Development engages me mentally in a way that makes the work much more fun and exciting!
I am a creative person, I love the energy of working with a group on developing new products, services and ideas. I enjoy working in groups as a part of a team and contributing to projects that are challenging and rewarding. I had the opportunity to create a small business with a group of friends, the experience and success we found still gives me great pride. We had to close down our business in the face of the covid-19 pandemic, but I will always cherish the feeling of creating a thriving business from the ground up, and all of our business practices are a reflection of my own personal commitment to integrity, and honor.
At my core I am a compassionate and empathetic person. I love working with other people, learning their stories, and finding ways to help them achieve greater success and joy in their own lives. I experienced this most fully while volunteering for the Boy Scouts of America, in church and community service programs, and while working at an Elementary school teaching ESL and reading. I am a firm believer that true happiness cannot be found alone, it is an experience that can only be shared with others. When I am not working, you can find me building puzzles, reading a good book, writing my own novel, or playing board games with my family. I have 6 beautiful children who make every day of my life interesting, and full of fun!
